Work as a Software Engineer to design, develop, test and deploy desktop and mobile applications using a range of technologies. Contribute to the immediate team and other teams across company. Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, solving problems, developing and executing objectives. Have the ability to influence short-term and long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Develop software application for Windows, Web, Windows mobile and Android.
2. Perform object-oriented software development and produce high quality code.
3. Author and execute unit tests.
4. Produce concise design documents.
5. Follow the software development process.
6. Communicate effectively on daily basis with test engineers and business analysts.
7. Work with customers, marketing and field personnel to refine requirements.
8. Demonstrate customer awareness by evaluating decisions through the eyes of the customer.
9. Participate in design and code reviews.
10. Contribute to product and process improvement by proactively identifying deficiencies and suggesting improvements.
11. Follow the company’s quality procedures.
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering or Science field.
2. 1-5 years of experience.
3. Effective communication skills and boundaryless behaviour
4. Demonstrated ability to pursue tasks to completion
5. Demonstrated problem-solving techniques
6. Experience in one or more programming languages including C#, VB and Java.
Desired Qualifications:
1. Experience authoring software in Windows, Web, Windows Mobile and/or Android environments.
2. Experience using MS Visual Studio and Andriod Studio.
3. Experience using Team Foundation Server for source control.
4. Understanding of the different styles of the software development process.
5. Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to improve the product, process or technology.
6. Knowledge and experience in the latest software development methodologies, processes, technologies and tools.
